Our History

Our story starts over 25 years ago when Martin Kane started Alliance Finance Corporation Limited in Western Australia in 1991. The company specialised in insurance premium funding and equipment finance. It grew rapidly, quickly establishing a national footprint. In June 2002, it was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).

In 2005, Alliance Finance Corporation Limited merged with the Centrepoint Finance Pty Ltd Group to form Centrepoint Alliance. The merged group specialised in finance broking, asset finance and insurance premium funding.

In December 2010 the company acquired 100% of Professional Investment Holdings through a scheme of arrangement. Professional Investment Holdings was one of the largest non-institutionally owned financial advice networks in Australia and also encompassed licensee services, research, funds management operations, administration platform services, lending and financing services.

On 30 December 2016, the premium funding business was acquired by BOQ Finance. Now, Centrepoint Alliance focuses solely on wealth management and continues to be one of Australia’s leading financial services businesses.
